Research Analyst

TERM to July 6, 2026

Under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Research, Planning and Enrolment, the Research Analyst is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of specific research projects and evaluations; student assessment analysis and reporting; conducting administrative data analysis; performing general administrative duties; and other various duties as required.



Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

· Provides assistance with program evaluations, statistical analysis, and interpretation of results.

· Provides assistance to Division personnel with research methodology, data collection, survey design and data analysis.

· Prepares written reports and presents findings of research projects, program evaluations and student performance.

· Conducts analysis and presents findings of student assessment data to support recommendations for planning.

· Provides assistance with provincial data collections and departmental databases.

· Assists with the development and implementation of surveys.

· Conducts various administrative data analyses such as facility use, class size, student demographics, and course completion.



Qualifications:

· Preference of a degree or relevant degree in a related discipline.

· Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design and analysis.

· Demonstrated experience analyzing data and preparing reports and executive summaries for use in organizational and programmatic decision-making.

· Demonstrated ability utilizing computer applications, including statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS) and Microsoft Office suite (Access, Excel, and Word).

· Experience working with SQL is an asset.

· Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and maintain confidentiality.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in an environment with multiple interruptions or requests.

· Ability to communicate sensitive and complex information to a wide variety of audiences.

· Superior interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills.

· Excellent planning and project management skills. This position requires an individual who can work independently, with minimal instruction or guidance.

· Ability to work well under pressure with competing deadlines.

· Attention to detail and time management and ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
