Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Scheduling Supervisor, the Staff Scheduler performs day to day coordination of staffing and clerical functions for CancerCare Manitoba. This position will be responsible for the accurate and efficient operational scheduling of staff to ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
Qualifications:
Required:
Level of Formal Education & Experience
- High School graduate (Grade 12 or equivalent)
- Completion of a recognized office administration program
- 1 year of staffing and scheduling experience in an equivalent position
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate files and records
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment adhering to strict deadlines
- Ability to work with a variety of sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality
- Proficiency in the basic use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and asking for guidance or direction when necessary
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills; polite and courteous telephone manner
- Ability to contribute to a positive work environment using tact and diplomacy
- Ability to use systems and equipment typical of an office environment
Other
- Must have satisfactory employment record
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred:
- Ability to speak French
- Experience in a Health Care environment
- Working knowledge of applying Union Collective agreement language in relation to Staffing Processes
- Experience with QHR an asset
