Under the direction of the Lead - Environmental Services, the Laundry Aide is responsible for the processing and transporting soiled and clean linen to the appropriate areas of the facility. The incumbent is also responsible for keeping and maintaining records for linen inventory, washing records, delivery records and maintaining the laundry production/storage areas, ensuring equipment is clean and in good working condition.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Sous la direction du Chef - Services environnementaux, l’Aide - Buanderie est responsable du traitement et du transport du linge sale et propre vers les locaux appropriés de l’établissement. Le ou la titulaire est également chargé de tenir et de conserver les registres d'inventaire du linge, les registres de lavage, les registres de livraison et d'entretenir les locaux de production et de stockage du linge, en veillant à ce que l'équipement soit propre et en bon état de fonctionnement.
Le ou la titulaire du poste bénéficie d’un niveau d’initiative approprié et fait preuve d’un jugement indépendant pour déterminer les priorités de travail, les méthodes de travail à utiliser et les mesures à adopter pour traiter les questions inhabituelles. Les fonctions du poste sont exercées d’une manière conforme à la vision, à la mission, aux valeurs et aux politiques de Southern Health-Santé Sud.
- Previous experience in industrial and/or commercial laundry.
Expérience:
- Expérience préalable dans le domaine de la buanderie industrielle ou commerciale.
- Minimum Grade 10 education (Manitoba standard).
- Other suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
Formation (degré/diplôme/certificat):
- Minimum d’une dixième (10) année d’études (norme du Manitoba).
