A FULL TIME TEACHER

For a Full Time CASA Classroom Teacher working out of West Central High School in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta

Applications are invited for a CASA Mental Health Service Classroom Teacher.

The CASA Mental Health Service Classroom Teacher is responsible for academic instruction, providing and designing instruction, supporting positive behaviour and differentiating assessment and learning for all students in a specialized, (grades 5-12) multi-graded classroom.

Teachers working in CASA Classrooms will create individualized academic programming;

Promote the integration and implementation of social-emotional learning and mental health strategies;

Provide evidence-based resources to support the students;

Support the application of strength-based approaches to learning and instruction in a setting focused on supporting mental health;

Support a collaborative relationship between all members of the CASA Classroom team



The CASA Mental Health Service Classroom Teacher is required to demonstrate the following:

  • Exemplary communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of academic, behavioural and psychoeducational assessments

  • Knowledge of the benefits of social-emotional learning

  • Ability to work collaboratively to meet the needs of all students in the classroom

  • Effective program delivery abilities, positive communication, and creative thinking

  • Proven ability to adopt a solution-focused, collaborative approach to challenges

  • High degree of adaptability, empathy and creative problem-solving



Start date will be August 25, 2025.



CASA Mental Health is partnering with the Government of Alberta, community partners and school divisions to deliver mental health care in classrooms. CASA Classrooms will address the need for services closer to students by bridging a child’s mental health and school needs, through a coordinated approach by a mental health team and a teacher. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in inclusive education and/or proven

experience in working with students with diverse and complex needs.



A complete package will include cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three references and a copy of their Alberta teaching certification in a single Google or pdf document.

The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six months) Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector as a condition of employment.
