The Opportunity
Responsible for providing quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical knowledge to customer's both internal and external. Performing all tasks related to assembling, testing, repairing, diagnosing, maintaining, and reconditioning mining equipment on-site and in the shop.
The Role
- Always maintain a professional company image.
- Work as a team member on assigned projects including but not limited to new builds, major outages, machine moves, etc.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with project team members, project leadership, and customers.
- Update and maintain applicable check sheets, service records, warranty forms, and other documents as assigned.
- Properly document and submit hours worked to ensure proper tracking on large projects.
- Participate in manufacturer provided and in house service training. Training may occur during work and/or after work hours.
- Conduct housekeeping duties to maintain and safe and orderly jobsite.
EH&S
- Participate in all required Health & Safety Training.
- Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices.
- Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace.
- Meet requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments
Technical
- Clean and prep parts and components to assembly into new builds.
- Inspect parts and components prior to installation/assembly to identify any defects/issues.
- Communicate work performed and complete service paperwork daily.
- Service and/or repair equipment in the shop and on-site for the customer.
- When required, uses technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mining equipment, components, and systems.
- Recondition and remanufacture components as required for equipment, engine and hydraulic repairs.
- Work with Manufacturers online support.
- Follow established assembly manuals and check sheets where applicable.
The Candidate
- Education: Trade Certification, Journeyperson Red Seal
- Work Experience: > 10 years mobile mining equipment repair & maintenance.
- Knowledge: Proficient written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to work with teammates and customers, exception customer service, demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem-solving skills.
