The Opportunity
Tundra has an opening for an Inside Technical Sales - Measurement & Analytical role, based in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be a Technical Fixed Gas and Flame Detection authority and applications professional who reflects their corporate commitment to being responsive to our customers’ unique needs. The successful individual will have a proven track record of design and implementation of fixed gas and flame detection systems through inside sales; while thriving in an environment that is client-focused and is skillful at maintaining a high degree of contact customers through the design and order cycle.
The Role
- Will be a Technical Fixed Gas and Flame Detection authority and applications professional.
- Is motivated by providing solutions to meet customer needs and works eagerly to attain the maximum potential in each and every customer interaction.
- Builds knowledge base through taking personal initiative and has the aptitude to be able to clearly communicate the technical solution to the customer.
- Displays an outgoing personality and easily initiates conversations with clients.
- Displays the type of personality that can easily and clearly communicate a polite persona over the phone.
- Can liaise with manufacturing to ensure the customer needs are being met.
- Shows the ability to adapt and can think on their feet while overcoming customer objections or sourcing out the best solution for a technical requirement.
- Displays an assertive but collaborative approach to sales.
- Receives client orders for products and accurately communicates orders to the appropriate departments.
- Communicates with cross functional departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
The Candidate
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in Inside Sales in a technical role focused on Fixed Gas and Flame Products.
- Ability to design, size, select and supply equipment to support all Fixed Gas and Flame opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory in English.
- Proficient in working with an ERP System
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
