Tamim Academy Vancouver - Educator Job Description

Tamim Academy of Vancouver is seeking a lead primary teacher to oversee our literacy program and guide our dedicated team of K-3 educators. Inspired by Montessori principles and shaped by the insights of leading educators, our school nurtures a love of learning, a strong sense of self, and enduring Jewish values within a warm and supportive community.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for multi-level classrooms
  • Design meaningful learning experiences that support student growth
  • Build strong relationships to support individual and collective success
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and actively participate in professional development to learn the Tamim model and curriculum
  • Adapt and innovate to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Champion a whole-child approach that promotes student agency and metacognition
  • Support the school's development through initiative, communication, and collaboration
Qualifications:
  • Valid BC teaching certificate
  • Classroom teaching experience (Montessori or multi-level classroom experience an asset)
