Come work as a Pediatrician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
We are seeking a Temporary Community Hospital Pediatrician for a 0.5 FTE position at Lions Gate Hospital.
The successful candidate will cover the pediatric ward, attend high-risk and primary care OB deliveries, perform postpartum rounding, manage admissions to the Level 2 nursery (32 weeks and above), handle ER consults and urgent outpatient ward consults, and run a hospital-based clinic (rapid access clinic, with an option for an asthma clinic). We work with a wonderful group of pediatricians, our OB/ER and other colleagues are extremely collegial, and the pediatric allied health team at the hospital is amazing.
Community Clinic:
Coverage needed ideally for 3 clinic days per month - this is not required but strongly encouraged. Community clinic offers the opportunity for follow-up care for patients seen in hospital, as well as consults and follow ups for the Sea to Sky corridor community pediatric population. There is flexibility on day of the week and day-to-day appointment structure. The Sea to Sky Pediatrics clinic in North Vancouver has a with a wonderful team of pediatricians, MOAs and office manager. The clinic itself is beautiful and kid friendly, with a beautiful view of the North Shore mountains!
Education, Licensing, & Experience:
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Desired
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Required
