Position: Casual Bus Driver
Start Date: May 2025

Urban Academy is currently inviting dedicated, team-oriented individuals to apply for our casual Bus Driver position for the remainder of this current school year and the 2025-2026 school year.
Secondary school graduation
Valid B.C. Class 4 driver’s license with a safe driving record; a driver’s abstract to be provided annually
Completion of a Criminal Records Check.
Thorough knowledge of the rules of safe operation and safety precautions to be taken when driving a school bus
Sufficient physical strength to lift materials and equipment, ability to carry out safe working practices including the ability to use appropriate lifting and carrying techniques
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers and supervisors
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Ability to direct students, with authority and diplomacy and follow departmental procedures, to ensure appropriate and safe behaviour
Working knowledge of school operations, policies and procedures
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Previous related experience in driving large multi-passenger vehicles would be an asset
Previous experience working with groups of children would be an asset

Urban Academy provides:
Competitive Compensation - $24/hr to $27/hour based on experience
Casual work hours between 7:00am - 9:00pm dependent on activity needs
