General Purpose

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Media and Educational Technology, the Multimedia Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of multimedia components into online courses that support institutional and departmental course learning objectives. The Multimedia Coordinator works with internal and external interest holders in the development, creation, and implementation processes. This includes providing videography and audiography services, as well as development of learning objects. The Multimedia Coordinator is also responsible for managing the inputs and delivery channels for media used by the school in its course offerings and other business activities.
Requirements
The University recognizes that not all candidates will have education and experience in equal measure. The following criteria will be used to evaluate candidates:
- A two (2)-year community college diploma in media and communication studies, or a related field, along with two (2) years of related experience,
- Intermediate knowledge of elearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, and After Effects
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition
- Intermediate audio editing experience and basic audio capture experience
- Intermediate non-linear video editing experience and video capture experience
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Project management skills and an ability to manage prioritize and deadlines for multiple projects
- Knowledge of content management systems for video and audio
- A knowledge of pedagogical principles and demonstrated skill in integrating instructional design concepts is an asset
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (preferably D2L) is an asset
