General Purpose
Reporting to the Director, Student Wellness, the IT Project Manager for Student Wellness, is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of key technology initiatives that directly support the strategic goals of Student Wellness, with a focus on enhancing the student experience and improving service delivery efficiency. This role exists to manage the planning, execution, and implementation of digital solutions-including online appointment booking, a virtual website assistant, and AI-driven clinical documentation tools-through effective project management, cross-functional team leadership, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent ensures all initiatives meet institutional quality, privacy, and compliance standards while delivering measurable outcomes aligned with departmental and university objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Change Management: Drive the end-to-end delivery of transformative IT initiatives-including online appointment systems, virtual assistants, and AI clinical tools-by aligning technical milestones with organizational readiness and user adoption goals.

Stakeholder-Centric Planning: Architect comprehensive project roadmaps and multi-channel communication strategies that proactively address stakeholder concerns, manage expectations, and foster buy-in across diverse campus departments.

Value-Based Resource Management: Oversee project budgets and resource allocation with a focus on delivering high-impact outcomes, ensuring that timelines reflect both technical requirements and the capacity of staff to absorb change.

Relationship Management & Advocacy: Serve as a primary liaison between stakeholder teams and campus leadership, facilitating collaborative forums to discuss and resolve concerns, address resistance, and ensure project goals remain aligned with institutional needs.

Collaborative Governance: Lead cross-functional project working groups and stakeholder committees, utilizing facilitation skills to promote a culture of transparency, shared ownership, and continuous feedback.

Strategic Vendor Partnerships: Manage external vendor relationships by co-creating Statements of Work (SOW) that prioritize user experience and long-term scalability; hold vendors accountable to deliverables while serving as the lead escalation point for service or integration issues.

Adoption & Sustainment: Design and deliver internal change management frameworks-including training programs for teams and impact assessments-to minimize disruption and ensure the long-term success of new digital tools.
Requirements

Completion of an undergraduate degree in computer science or related degree with a minimum of 3 years work experience in an IT service delivery role applying change management principles. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered. Previous experience in a health care and post-secondary setting would be preferred.
