Description
Assignment:
- Part-time 0.40 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Monday - Thursday mornings
- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year
- Duties will include providing individual assistance to students with diverse needs within an inclusive classroom
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with complex needs
- Ability to formulate strong and healthy relationships
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- Calm and patient approach to solving problems and assisting with coregulation
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated learning environment
- Ability to work one-on-one or with a student in an inclusive environment
- Background and/or experience with complex behavioural needs
- Ability to be flexible in assigned duties; may include personal care and hygiene
- Toileting and lifting will be required
