Description
Assignment:
- Part-time 0.60 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue until December 19, 2025 with the possibility of extension
- Duties will include providing individual assistance to a student with diverse needs within an inclusive classroom
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with complex needs
- Ability to formulate string and healthy relationships
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive personality
- Calm and patient approach to solving problems and assisting with coregulation
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team-orientated learning environment
- Ability to work one on one or with a student in an inclusive environment
- Background and/or experience with complex behavioural needs
- Ability to be flexible in assigned duties; may include personal care and hygiene
