You Are:

You are a seasoned Functional Safety Engineer with deep knowledge of ISO 26262 and experience in safety-critical hardware, software, or systems. You communicate clearly across global teams, interface confidently with internal customers, and excel in leading safety assessments. You’re motivated by improving safety and reliability in automotive semiconductor IP and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Guide development teams in functional safety planning, concept, design, implementation, and verification.
  • Conduct and review FMEDA, DFMEA, DFA, and FTA analyses.
  • Assess architecture specs and technical safety concepts.
  • Lead functional safety assessments per ISO 26262.
  • Work with product development teams to address safety and reliability requirements.
  • Train teams on safety concepts and improve safety processes.

What You’ll Need:

  • Degree in Electronic/SW Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 7+ years in system, hardware, or software development.
  • Solid understanding of ISO 26262 and safety analysis methods.
  • Experience conducting safety assessments.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Working knowledge of automotive reliability standards such as AEC Q100
  • Working knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
