Family School Liaison Worker (FSLW) Required For
St. Paul Alternate Education Centre & Elk Point Outreach School
St. Paul Education requires a part-time (0.8 FTE) Family School Liaison Worker to support the St. Paul Alternate Education Centre (SPAEC) and Elk Point Outreach School (EPOS), commencing August 27, 2025.
SPAEC, located in St. Paul, AB, is a Grade 9-12 school with approximately 80 students. EPOS, located in Elk Point, AB has approximately 16 students.
As a member of the Student Services team, the Family School Liaison Worker will collaborate with division staff, school-based staff and community service providers to promote mental wellness and support the emotional development of students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive informal counselling and crisis intervention
- Facilitate group programs and classroom presentations
- Liaise with families, school staff and community agencies
- Coordinate referrals to community support services
- Maintain written records of services provided/case notes
- Participate in professional development and team meetings
Qualifications:
- A degree/diploma in Human Services
- Understanding of youth culture, belief in a strength-based and solution focused approach
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
