Reports to: Summer Camp Manager
Compensation: $750-$1,000 per week
Commitment: Candidates may apply for one series or both, dates are:
Series 1: July 6 - 11 and July 13 - 17, 2026
Series 2 July 20 - 24 and July 27 - 31, 2026
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, 5 days per week

Position
Overview:
The Saints Summer Series is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and engaging Recreation Leaders
to support the delivery of our summer camps. This role is ideal for recent high school graduates
or young adults (must be 19 years of age or older) who are looking to gain experience working
with children, build leadership skills, and contribute to a vibrant summer learning environment.
Recreation Leaders work alongside camp instructors to help facilitate daily activities, support
students, and ensure a positive, safe, and welcoming camp experience.
This individual embodies the following core competencies: empathy, integrity, humility, respect,
responsibility, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support camp instructors with daily programming, transitions, and activities.
Supervise and engage campers during structured activities, breaks, and outdoor time.
Help set up, organize, and clean up materials and camp spaces.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all campers.
Assist with classroom management and student support as needed.
Model strong leadership, teamwork, and responsibility throughout the camp day.
Communicate clearly and professionally with camp staff and supervisors.
Qualifications:
Recent high school graduate or current post-secondary student (must be 19 years of age
or older by July 2026).
Interest in working with children and supporting learning and play.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to take initiative.
Previous experience working with children (camp, coaching, tutoring, volunteering) is an
asset.
Time Commitment:
Camps run from July 6-31, mandatory 2-day new hire orientation will take place July
2nd and 3rd.
Recreation Leaders may work 1 or 2 sessions (2-4 weeks) of the Saints Summer Series
depending on availability and camp scheduling.
Extended care shifts (after camp) may be available for Recreation Leaders who are
interested and available, with adjusted start and end times as needed.
