What You’ll Do
As a Technical Lab Specialist, you will support the setup, testing, and deployment of devices and environments for SOTI’s corporate and field marketing tradeshow events. This includes gathering devices, industry vertical, and environmental requirements from the Business Development team.
You will play a key role in the SOTI One Platform demo flow, ensuring its functionality and contributing to ongoing improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing the internet and power requirements tailored to each booth’s unique setup.
Beyond tradeshow events and environments, you will assist with the setup and maintenance of environments for Education Services, Global Training, and Sales Engineering regional demo environments.
Responsibilities
Assist with the entire technical setup and deployment of SOTI’s devices and environments for all corporate and field marketing tradeshow events.
Gather device, industry vertical, and environment requirements from the Business Development team to ensure event success.
After each event, re-inventory all equipment, collect feedback, and implement improvements.
Support the SOTI One Platform demo flow, ensuring functionality and contributing to ongoing enhancements.
Work with the Technical Lab Manager on overall strategy and yearly goals.
Collaborate with leads on new demo flows and continual improvement of environment capabilities.
Assist with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of Global Training and Education Services environments, both cloud and on-premises, for internal testing, documentation creation, and training sessions.
Assist with the setup of Global Training and Education Services' device and feature setup requests.
Assist with Sales Engineering regional demo environments, including setup, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting for regional SMEs.
Assist with planning, scheduling, and execute regular upgrades and maintenance of demo servers.
Ensure all demo servers are running the latest stable software versions and security patches to maintain reliability and security.
Troubleshoot server-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruption.
Coordinate closely with product teams to align server upgrades with product releases and demonstrations.
Monitor and optimize server performance, reliability, and resource utilization.
Document server configurations, upgrade processes, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
Collaborate with the sales team to tailor demo environments for customer presentations and proof-of-concept activities.
Qualifications
Experience in mobile, Cloud, client-server, or other enterprise technologies.
Experience in or knowledge of Mobile Device Management as well as Server and Cloud infrastructure.
Experience with IOT devices, protocols, and technologies.
Experience and knowledge of server virtualization (ex: Hyper V. ESXi, etc).
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Extensive knowledge of computer networking (routers, switches, firewalls, subnetting, vlans, etc).
Ability to learn products, features, and technologies with minimal assistance.
Strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills to effectively work with team members, peers, and stakeholders.
Willingness to embrace change and process improvements to streamline work processes.
Ability to concurrently work on multiple projects and remain flexible to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
Become proficient in all SOTI One platform products (SME in several).
Additional Assets
Sales experience and ability to demonstrate technical products using sales value selling.
Windows Enterprise Software knowledge.
Enterprise Mobility Management knowledge.
Any other additional programming languages.
3-5 years in a technical software related role.
