1st Cook - Goose Bay, NL

Candidate must live in Goose Bay; this is not a fly in fly out job.

Hourly rate: 25.08$/ hour plus 3-week vacation

Shifts: average 11-12 hour shifts daily

Full time 80 hours biweekly as follows: WEEK 1: will work 23 hrs. Week 2: 57 hrs.

Sodexo is growing! We are looking for a 1st Cook to join our dynamic team. This position is a FULL TIME. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to cook healthy and appealing menus for consumers.

Qualifications

About YOU

You are an experienced cook who enjoys working in a team environment, ensuring high quality results and meeting food safety, HACCP and OHS standards.

During your mandate, it will be your responsibility to support the Chef in the execution of daily activities defined for our client contract regarding all food service offerings and the a la carte menu. You will use your skills to help create an excellent food service offering for the clients and guests of this site. You will be asked to prepare general food production, cooking, serving as well as other assigned tasks. You will be required to follow the various Sodexo programs: Food Safety, Health and Safety, Policies and Procedures, and Marketing.

You have a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role, excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Strong planning, organizational and time management skills as well as computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). You are able to work under pressure and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures. Red Seal is an asset.
