COORDINATOR - ADULT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION
Salary Range - $75,512 - $94,391 per year
Two (2) - 1.0 FTE Permanent Positions
The Adult and Continuing Education division of the Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time temporary Coordinator Adult and Continuing Education - Learning Centre. This position will provide support to multiple Learning Centre locations throughout the county. Reporting to the Principal, Vice-Principal and Manager of Adult and Continuing Education, the Coordinator Learning Centre is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Learning Centre. Duties may include the leadership of staff, the development, implementation, performance and monitoring of programs and services with specific accountability to performance management, community development and facilities management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Three (3) year college diploma or university degree in business, administration, education, or a related field;
- Two (2) to three (3) years experience in the areas of program delivery, budget administration and or business operations, preferably in an education environment;
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in an environment of evolving education and business strategies;
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience in, adult education training and development programs;
- Knowledge of government policy governing language and education, literacy, social agencies;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and funding proposals in conjunctions with administration;
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access;
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills;
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, program planning and evaluation;
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate time, resources, and staff;
- The ability to work flexible hours will be required;
- The nature of the position requires the successful candidate to have a reliable vehicle - mileage reimbursement provided at the Board established rate.

This is a full-time temporary position. The regular work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation range for this twelve (12) month position is $75,512 to $94,391 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is based on a thirty-five (35) hour work week.
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,
even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
