Our Calgary client is seeking a Technical Manager of Network/ Server Infrastructure and Cybersecurity to oversee the design, implementation, and operations of networks, servers, and cloud-based solutions.


This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a technical lead or senior infrastructure specialist ready to take their next step into management with competitive benefits offered! The successful candidate will be working full-time onsite downtown Calgary (parking offered).


Must-Haves:

  • 8+ years’ core infrastructure application experience surrounding:
  • Cisco networking and design
  • Windows and Linux server administration
  • Firewall management support
  • VMWare/VSphere support
  • Experience with conferencing platforms and connectivity (i.e., Teams, Zoom, WebEx)
  • Experience with team mentorship and leadership from a technical perspective
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewall design and configuration
  • Experience with Cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and compliance requirements
  • Previous team management perspective from a people management perspective


Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing IT operations which will involve overseeing the design, implementation, and operations of IT systems, including networks, servers, cloud-based and on-premises systems, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
  • Provide leadership to the IT team and collaborate with the Director to understand the strategic vision and organizational objectives translating these into actional plans.
  • Lead infrastructure projects and initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions, while adhering to best practices and industry standards.
  • Administration of firewalls, switches, servers, telecommunications devices, and desktops.
  • In addition, be responsible for Cybersecurity Management, Team Management, and Vendor Management.
