Description
Our valued client is looking for a Workday Benefits Lead to manage and execute all Benefits and Pension project activities from current HCMS, Accero, to Workday HCM
An initial 6-month contract. Remote.
Tasks include:
- Working with the Workday consultants, the Benefits Lead will ensure that all plans, payroll deductions, eligibility, vendor interfaces, etc. are delivered according to project schedule
- Lead the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Benefits module features and enhancements.
- Partner with HR and benefits teams to manage annual Events and day-to-day life event processes.
- Ensure that employee on-boarding includes benefits enrollment elections and/or default coverage
- Maintain and troubleshoot integrations between Workday and third-party benefits vendors (e.g., Canada Life, Sutton, Aon).
- Manage eligibility rules, benefit plan setup, and related business processes in Workday.
- Identify system defects or inefficiencies prior to go-live, and coordinate solutions with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Conduct regression testing during Workday updates or when making configuration changes.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, system processes, and end-user support.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex benefit-related issues requiring technical analysis.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, HR users and IT to assess change impacts during the project
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Provide post-production support during the warranty period
Must have:
- Reliability clearance with the Federal Government
- 5+ years of experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- 5+ years of experience in Requirements Management
- 3+ years of experience with benefits knowledge focused on Canadian benefits
- 3+ years of experience with requirements-based testing
- 3+ years of experience with the Workday HR Management System
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- One or more of the following Workday Partner/Customer Certifications: Workday Benefits, Workday HCM Core, or Workday Payroll
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required Leadership skills
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements
- Experience in design thinking, user centered design, human centered design
