Sr. Secret .Net Developer to work on integration & interoperability of a National food services management system for a Defence based client

On behalf of our Government of Canada Defence client, S.i. Systems is searching for a Sr .Net Developer to work on integration & interoperability of a National food services management system for a Defence based client. Secret clearance is required. The successful candidate will help design, develop, test, and deploy application modules that support food services operations, resource management, and decision-making across the CAF

Located onsite (Hybrid), this contract shall run from November 1st, 2025 and last for 1 year with a strong chance of renewal.

Job Tasks:

• Analyze problems, requirements, and system specifications, including reviewing design documents and user stories in Azure DevOps.
• Select and incorporate software frameworks (ASP.NET 4.7, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, Entity Framework for Oracle 19c) to meet technical and functional needs.
• Design detailed programs, flow charts, diagrams, and logic for data processing, reporting, and outputs.
• Translate designs into code and integrate application modules across the system.
• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
• Identify and resolve program errors, technical issues, and production environment defects.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Deploy updates into development, staging, and production environments.
• Propose improvements and partial redesigns to align legacy components with evolving business requirements.
• Deliver iterative updates for modules such as Recipe & Menu Management, Production Control, Catering, Food Safety & Defense, Equipment & Facilities, Establishment & Scheduling, Waste Management, and Reports/Outputs.

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience as a Programmer/Software Developer.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft .NET (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET Framework), JavaScript, and Oracle 19c with Entity Framework.
• Experience working in Agile development environments with Azure DevOps.
• Valid Secret clearance (mandatory).

Nice to Haves:

• Experience supporting Government of Canada or Defence/CAF projects.
• Background in Service Integration & Interoperability (SII) initiatives.
• Familiarity with food services, logistics, or resource management applications.
