Sr. QA Tester to support a SaaS application for a critical enterprise initiative

Our valued client is looking for a Sr. QA Tester to support a SaaS application for a critical enterprise initiative.

This is a remote position (or Hybrid if in Ottawa or Toronto)

The successful candidate will be embedded within a cross‑functional delivery squad and will be responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance across integrated systems, data flows, and vendor solutions. The Senior QA Tester will define and execute comprehensive test strategies, enable test automation, validate data integrity, and support production readiness in a highly governed financial and risk environment.

Tasks include:

• Define and own end to end test strategies, plans, and approaches aligned with project milestones
• Ensure alignment with the organization's quality standards, governance, and risk controls
• Plan and coordinate system, integration, regression, and data validation testing
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases
• Implement and enhance test automation frameworks (API, UI, data driven testing)
• Validate integrations between the Saas application, internal platforms, and upstream/downstream systems
• Identify, log, prioritize, and track defects through resolution
• Collaborate closely with developers, vendors, and product owners to resolve issues
• Provide clear quality, risk, and readiness reporting to delivery leadership
• Validate credit data, decision rules, scoring outputs, and data lineage
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across environments
• Support testing of data migrations and parallel run scenarios where applicable
• Support release readiness, go live validation, and post deployment verification
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and tooling
• Ensure testing artifacts meet audit and documentation expectations
• Support the SaaS application, including: End to end credit adjudication workflows, data integrations with enterprise platforms and analytics environments, vendor delivered solution validation, Regulatory and risk driven quality controls

Must have:

• Reliability level security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT
• 8 years of QA / testing experience in enterprise technology environments
• Data Migration Testing experience in validating source-to-target mappings and business rule transformations, perform reconciliation (record counts/totals), and confirm data quality and integrity pre/post cutover

Nice to have:

• Experience in Automation Testing (Python with Robot Framework) specifically - building maintainable regression/smoke suites, creating reusable keywords, and accelerating test execution and reporting
• Experience delivering testing to medium to large digital technology initiatives
• experience with Integration Testing - end-to-end validation across upstream/downstream systems, APIs/interfaces, and business workflows; triaging and tracking integration defects with multiple teams
