Our public sector client is seeking a Sr Project Manager - 01093


12-months contract. 40 hours/week Hybrid 2 days/week onsite in North Vancouver.


Technical Requirements

  • Senior Project Manager experience delivering multi-year enterprise initiatives, ideally within large, complex organizations (e.g., Crown corporations, government, or large private enterprises).
  • Experience leading projects related to infrastructure, AWS cloud, or cybersecurity environments, such as secure access platforms, enterprise security services, or identity and access management.
  • Exposure to enterprise security ecosystems, including areas such as:
  • Infrastructure and cloud platforms
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Security architecture and services
  • Experience supporting early-stage initiatives, including discovery, current-state assessments, solution validation, and business case development for enterprise technology programs.
  • Experience supporting procurement and vendor selection processes, such as RFP or NRFP initiatives for enterprise technology platforms.
  • Ability to manage projects with multiple executive stakeholders and governance layers, including senior leadership oversight (e.g., CIO-level visibility).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and business sponsors effectively.
  • Experience working within structured project governance frameworks, including adherence to organizational methodologies, standards, and reporting processes.
  • Professional project management certification preferred (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • Background in large-scale environments where projects involve significant complexity, regulatory oversight, or enterprise-wide impact.


The successful candidate will use their personal laptop for this engagement, which will be provided with link to Citrix.

· Minimum requirements: modern equipment less than 5 years old, 1GB of Ram and at least 500MB of free space.

· They also need to have a Smartphone on which a soft token will be installed to access Citrix.


Background

· The work requires a sound understanding of the underlying theoretical principles and concepts associated with the subject area and an understanding of the relation of these to the responsibilities of the job. This specialized training is typically recognized by an undergraduate degree and/or a professional designation in a technical/business/scientific field.

General Accountability

· Plans, manages and implements large scale, complex projects.

Specific Accountabilities

· Plans, manages and implements large scale, complex projects involving internal departments, external agencies and contractors. Defines project scope and structure and develops project plan and budget.

· Coordinates project schedule and deliverables with internal departments and/or external agencies.

· Negotiates for and/or arranges acquisition of project goods and services.

· Oversees project implementation and makes changes to project plan and budget as required. Manages activities to minimize impact on operations. Evaluates results.

· Manages communications with internal departments and external agencies.

· Resolves related issues and problems.

· Oversees the development of project documentation. Presents project status reports.
