Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Technical Architect/Developer (10+ years) to deliver enterprise-grade solutions using OpenShift, .NET, Angular, and Java/Quarkus

Join a team advancing large-scale modernization and system integration initiatives within a provincial energy regulatory agency. This role provides hands-on architecture and full-stack development leadership to modernize critical operational and regulatory systems. The engagement directly supports sustainable energy development and the transition to clean energy solutions across British Columbia.

Contract, remote across Canada working PST. Initial contract until March 2027. 37.5 hours/week.

Must Haves

• Extensive experience with OpenShift and Docker-based delivery within enterprise environments
• Proven .NET (8/10) and Angular application development expertise delivering production-grade software
• Advanced Java / Quarkus development including Keycloak SPIs or equivalent
• Proficiency with API management platforms such as Red Hat 3scale or equivalent
• Hands-on work with Azure DevOps Server 2020 (on-premises, classic pipelines)
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure cloud services
• Working knowledge of Ansible for platform automation
• Familiarity with Kafka, Debezium, and CDC architectures
• Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solution architectures from concept through production deployment
• Develop and maintain integrated services, APIs, and event-driven solutions across platforms
• Support modernization of legacy systems using Java, .NET, Angular, and OpenShift
• Build custom Java components and Keycloak extensions for platform scalability
• Configure and secure enterprise platforms including identity (OIDC/OAuth2) and TLS communications
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical deliverables align with enterprise standards
• Provide regular reporting and technical documentation as required by the Regulator
