Senior System Administrator to support the operation of MCE network capabilities including data centre operations in the public sector.

Our client requires a Secret cleared Senior System Administrator to support the operation of MCE network capabilities including data centre operations, server virtualization, server administration and configuration. The resource will assist the client with the install, setup, configuration, upgrade and administration of operating systems including Windows Desktop O/S, Windows Server O/S Active Directory, GPOs, Unix/Linux.

Responsibilities:

• Install, setup, configure, upgrade, administer virtual environments;
• Install, setup, configure, upgrade, and administer Virus Scan Enterprise software;
• Install, setup, configure, upgrade, and administer Microsoft Exchange servers;
• Apply problem solving skills to emulate or reproduce end-user issues in order to solve technical problems;
• Perform virtual environment and data replication and backups;
• Perform failover procedures of applications/services and data to the Disaster Recovery site;
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements;
• Install, configure, monitor, upgrade, administer and maintain GIS, image processing, database and data management software applications including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, MS Server, and MS SQL Server;
• Install, configure, administer and maintain security appliances, routers and switches;

Must have:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Experience with GIS enterprise applications
• Experience with Dell storage solutions, HPE Proliant servers, HPE Synergy server, Isilon storage
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and AD Group Policies
• Certifications: MCSE, MCP and ITIL
