Our client has a requirement for a Senior Solution Architect with enterprise and cloud expertise to assess systems, identify gaps, and define future-state solutions.

1-year contract

Senior Solution Architect who can dig into existing systems, understand how they truly work, and design modern cloud-based solutions that move the organization toward a scalable, future-ready architecture.

This role bridges strategy and delivery - translating business needs into practical solution designs while working closely with developers to validate and implement them.

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect
• Experience designing cloud-native solutions (AWS preferred)
• Strong hands-on coding experience with modern languages (TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#)
• Experience with API-first architectures, integrations, and event-driven systems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)
• Experience with serverless or containerized environments (Lambda, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex existing systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to Have:

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks
• Experience with microservices, domain-driven design, or CQRS
• Experience working with ERP, CRM, or Student Information Systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar databases
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and analyze existing systems and integrations to understand current architecture and identify improvement opportunities.
• Work with stakeholders across IT and business teams to identify problems and define solution requirements.
• Design future-state solution architectures using modern cloud-native patterns.
• Develop roadmaps for transitioning from current systems to modern platforms.
• Build proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with development teams, providing technical leadership and architectural guidance.
• Document solution designs, architectural decisions, and system diagrams.
• Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and scalability standards.
