Senior SAP Cloud BTP Team Lead (Business Technology Platform) with focus on BTP platform administration, security integration, Cloud Development.

The Operations Lead for SAP Cloud Applications will lead initiatives for all SAP Cloud solutions from technical perspective. Incumbent will be responsible for working closely with different LOB solution design teams to plan the landscape and execute it based on the needs along with managing expectations and scope for daily operational activities as well as small and large projects. Incumbent will also closely work with outsourcing partners to drive the execution of planned work for SAP cloud solutions. This position requires management of the vendor and ensuring the vendor is aligning to the SLAs that are agreed upon contractually.

Location - Calgary

Work mode - On site 5 days per week

Duration - Dec 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026

Responsibilities

· Deliver subject matter expertise in SAP Cloud Administration, development and integration across the portfolio of 20+ cloud application within SAP Transformation

· Design and implement processes to improve the working of organization with multiple vendors to optimize the overall delivery of technical developments

· Develop processes and procedures to retain critical technical knowledge in house to reduce long term operational risk

· Point of Escalation and manage the process for resolution of critical high priority issues in production systems

· Involvement with SAP functional and business to drive improvements as required by Suncor

· Manage Cloud Admin team from the outsourcing partner

· Responsible for delivery of significant project developments

· Ensure project to sustain process is complete. Required technical documentation meets guidelines for sustainment.

· Review and approval of technical code violations to comply with development standards

· Review and approval of production data access requests

· Review and approval of developer access requests

· Monitor service queue levels and addresses issues provided by outsource partner

Must Haves

· 10 years plus related experience in SAP with 3 years plus experience with integration of S4 and SAP cloud application specifically

· 3 years plus experience in developing RESTful ABAP/UI5/Java applications on Business Technology Platform

· 3 years plus experience in Administration and Configuration of BTP services like CPI, workflow, Portal etc.

· Experienced with Outsource relationships on either side of the relationship would be an asset

· Business process knowledge related to SAP implemented functionality

· Knowledge of SAP change management processes

· In depth understanding of SAP Cloud development tools

· Experience with integration between S/4 and SAP Cloud Solutions

Nice to Have

· Oil and Gas Business Knowledge an asset but not required
