Our utilities client is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to do functional and regression testing - 21835

Initially a 12-months contract. 40 hours/week. Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site in Burnaby.

Must haves:

• 6+ years of functional testing and regression testing
• Excellent working knowledge of software development methodologies, quality processes and testing methodologies and tools

Nice to haves:

• Experience with testing SAP applications
• Experience using Tricentis Quality Centre.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute testing activities including the review of all aspects of software/firmware changes to ensure successful execution of functional and regression testing objectives.

• Design, execute, and maintain both manual and automated test cases for functional and regression testing by consistently reviewing requirements and specifications, validating accuracy and integrity of test results, and reporting on test progress to contribute to standardization of the testing process.

• Identify, analyze, and document testing defects by consulting with developers and business analysts to support the Technology group’s defect management activities.

• Collaborate with professionals across the organization such as business analysts, architects and developers, as well as support and integration groups to review requirements and develop the functional and regression test framework, define issues, and close the gap on test requirements to ensure that testing is carried out as per defined standards and procedures.

• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders by regularly communicating relevant information, participating in project status meetings, and delivering progress reports so that testing activities are executed as planned.
