Our energy and utilities client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead vulnerability patching of substation software within critical infrastructure operational technology space

Drive a high-visibility technology initiative ensuring regulatory compliance and operational resilience across the client’s OT environment. This program encompasses complex system integrations within OMS, ADMS, and LIMS platforms, supporting enterprise-level technology modernization. The role offers ownership over end‑to‑end program delivery within a regulated energy context, in collaboration with engineering and operations stakeholders.

Hybrid work environment located in Calgary or Edmonton

Must Haves

  • 15+ years in project management across IT and Operational Technology programs involving OMS, ADMS, and LIMS integrations
  • Expertise in vulnerability patching and CIP compliance for substation software within regulated utility environments
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder delivery across matrix organizations involving technology, data, and operations teams
  • Advanced skills with MS Project, Power BI, and Excel for planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, PMP or equivalent project management certification

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with regulated utilities
  • Strong facilitation and negotiation capabilities
  • Familiarity with managed service provider engagement processes
  • Business analysis skills supporting requirements and process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the substation software vulnerability patching project
  • Coordinate stakeholders, including engineering contractors, technical teams, and operational leaders
  • Present project updates, risks, and milestones to executive committees
  • Manage project budget, forecasts, accruals, and variance reporting
  • Adhere to governance frameworks and complete regular status reporting
  • Engage managed service providers following established procurement processes
  • Ensure timely completion while balancing technical and operational requirements
