Senior Power Platform Developer to design and deliver a Technology Dashboard using Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power BI

Our valued client is seeking a Senior Power Platform Developer to design and deliver a Technology Dashboard using Power Apps, Dataverse, and Power BI!

As the successful candidate, you will develop and deploy an integrated data management and visualization solution supporting technology research and strategic decision-making.

Initial 4-month contract with possibility of extension. Candidates with the ability to work hybrid on-site in Ottawa, ON will be prioritized, however remote options will be considered. 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the Technology Dashboard and supporting data structures
• Develop solutions using Power Apps and Dataverse with custom integrations
• Architect and maintain data models, taxonomy, and metadata frameworks
• Create Power BI visualizations emphasizing clarity and performance
• Document requirements, designs, test plans, deployments, and user guides
• Collaborate with researchers and analysts to refine evolving requirements
• Support deployment and continuous improvement using best practices

Must Haves

• 5+ years of experience as a software developer
• Hands-on expertise with Power BI, Dataverse, and Power Apps
• Experience designing data models, taxonomy, metadata, and lifecycle tracking systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and code repositories
• Strong ability to produce technical documentation across all phases

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating low-code systems with custom web components
• Knowledge of information architecture principles
• Familiarity with enterprise data visualization best practices
• Exposure to analytical or decision-support systems
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field
