Senior Network Analyst to provide Cisco routing and switching support and Palo Alto firewall support across an IT and OT environment

Our large, enterprise Oil and Gas industry client is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to provide Cisco routing and switching support and Palo Alto firewall support across an IT and OT environment.

This is an initial 1-year contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary and agreeable to working 5 days per week (full-time) onsite within the heart of downtown Calgary!

Must-Haves:

• 10+ years' professional experience as a networking support professional in a technically complex, distributed environment
• 4+ years' Cisco routing and switching experience
• Strong professional experience supporting and administering Palo Alto firewalls

Nice-to-Haves:

• Oil and Gas industry experience with exposure to both IT and OT environments
• Experience with networking monitoring solutions, ideally SolarWinds
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS environments

Responsibilities Overview:

• Monitor and support corporate IT and OT Network Operations with a focus on firewalls, routing, switching, and wireless technologies
• Design and implement / configure new network technology solutions and network expansions
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to relevant network incidents within the IT and OT environments
• Work with ISP’s and other third-party vendors as needed to resolve network performance issues and coordinate on any adds / moves / changes related to the network environment
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies within the network environment, both through technology and support processes
• Document architecture and configurations to help with knowledge transfer and cross-training with other members of the infrastructure team and the IT department
• Participate in the development of technical road maps
