Our public sector client is seeking a Senior IT Security Architect (SECRET Clearance, 10+ years) to deploy an Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solution for an IAM environment

Join a key Cybersecurity Division initiative supporting the deployment and architecture of a large-scale IGA platform within a government Identity and Access Management framework. This role leads end-to-end delivery from design through implementation, ensuring high availability, security compliance, and technical governance. The engagement offers visibility across risk, infrastructure, and operational teams with strong alignment to government security standards and mandates.

Must Haves

• Mandatory experience with deploying and architecting an IGA system
• Extensive background with Windows Server 2008+, Microsoft Active Directory and its sub-components
• Hands-on work with IAM environments integrating Microsoft Azure and its sub-components
• Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture within cybersecurity contexts
• Valid SECRET clearance issued by the Government of Canada

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Network security zoning and ITSG-38 design considerations
• Understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies
• Experience with System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Familiarity with the Policy on Government Security (PGS) and Directive on Identity Management

Responsibilities

• Deploy the IGA solution and ensure full application of security controls
• Engage Risk Management teams to complete Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) activities
• Organize discussions with IT groups to gather requirements and analyze IGA-related needs
• Develop technical architectures including frameworks, implementation, and deployment plans
• Review system or infrastructure design to ensure standards compliance and improved performance
• Provide technical governance and support related to IGA architecture, deployment, and operations
• Produce documentation supporting SDLC including HLD, DDS, SRS, CONOPS, and test plans
