Our Oil and gas client is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to assist with large-scale ERP, Cloud, and Data Governance programs, including both Waterfall and Agile projects

Candidates will be in-office in Downtown Calgary 5 days/week

Must haves:

• 12+ years of experience as a Project Manager focusing on ERP, Cloud, and Data Governance programs within Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with multi-year, high-budget projects from inception through to successful completion
• Experienced in leading change within large-scale digital programs, with the ability to bring key stakeholders along in the transformation journey.

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Collaboration: Lead collaboration efforts between IT and senior business leaders. Foster strong relationships across the organization to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives.
• Strategic Roadmap Development: Shape and refine the project roadmap by aligning it with the broader IT technical strategies. Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure project success.
• Coordination: Act as the single point of accountability for IT-related activities. Coordinate efforts across multiple IT teams, driving urgency in execution and removing obstacles to keep projects on track.
• Business-Technical Alignment: Understand the business objectives and translate these into clear, actionable work packages for IT teams. Ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and sustainable within the technology infrastructure.
• Innovation Partnership: Develop and sustain a fast-paced R&D and innovation collaboration between business and IT, fostering a forward-thinking, results-oriented environment.
• Demand Prioritization: Balance the competing needs of other IT projects, ensuring the effective allocation of resources while maintaining alignment with business priorities.
• Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor program KPIs and provide regular updates to leadership. Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and ensure the program stays aligned with key success metrics.
