Description
Our public sector client is seeking a Senior DevOps / GitHub Expert to guide and mentor client towards a Agile DevOps environment while leading a GitHub implementation.
6 month contract to start, possible extension.
Must Have Skills:
- Senior experience working with companies during the transition period migrating towards a DevOps flow from Waterfall
- Git Expertise, proficiency with Git, the version control system underlying GitHub, including; understanding branching, merging, rebases, commits, and pull requests. Also should also be familiar with resolving conflicts and using Git for complex version control operations.
- Strong knowledge of understanding of security practices related to source control, including branch protection policies, role-based access control, and secure handling of secrets and credentials within GitHub.
- Training and Documentation, previous experience guiding, mentoring and coaching technical and non-technical users on DevOps practices and using GitHub
