Senior AWS QuickSight Developer to develop new applications using AI capabilities on the Quicksight platform for a healthcare client

Our valued healthcare client is seeking a Senior AWS QuickSight Developer to develop new applications using AI capabilities on the Quicksight platform for a healthcare client!

Initial 6-month contract with strong possibility of extension. Hybrid on-site (2 days/week) in North York, ON or Ottawa, ON - fixed on-site day for teamwork every Tuesday. 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

As the successful candidate, you will support a new initiative leveraging AWS QuickSight's AI capabilities to modernize reporting; designing and building innovative BI applications that harness machine learning features, anomaly detection, and other AI tools within QuickSight.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement BI dashboards and data stories using AWS QuickSight.
• Leverage QuickSight’s AI/ML features (e.g., anomaly detection, forecasting, natural language querying) for smart insights.
• Develop interactive dashboards with parameters, filters, and embedded visuals.
• Collaborate with data engineers to prepare data sources (S3, Redshift, RDS, etc.).
• Implement secure and scalable QuickSight solutions with proper user access control.
• Optimize dashboard performance and provide data storytelling best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with new AWS BI/AI features and help drive innovation.

Must-Have

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS QuickSight, including dashboard development and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of QuickSight AI / ML features like ML Insights, anomaly detection, forecasting, etc.
• Proven ability to integrate and automate BI solutions within AWS ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Redshift, Athena, S3, and data lake architectures.
• Strong SQL, data transformation, and data wrangling skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience embedding QuickSight visuals into web apps.
• Strong knowledge / experience working with Qlik Sense
• Familiarity with BI in healthcare or regulated sectors.
