Our midstream client is looking for a Senior Accountant to support oil & gas royalty reporting, compliance and audit activities related to End of Period Statements. (10812)

Must-haves:

• 10+ years accounting experience, including oil sands royalty
• Strong knowledge of OSRR 2009, OSACR, Mines & Minerals Act
• Direct experience supporting TRA audits and regulatory compliance
• Hands-on experience with EOPS reporting and amendments
• Background in audit response preparation and dispute resolution
• Advanced Excel, with experience in SAP and/or JDE
• Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate findings clearly

Responsibilities:

• Support royalty audit activities related to EOPS submissions for Alberta oil sands assets
• Prepare and review audit responses, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations
• Interpret and apply royalty legislation to support audit positions and required adjustments
• Coordinate EOPS amendments resulting from audit findings
• Assist in the resolution of royalty audit disputes, including analysis and documentation
• Analyze audit findings to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Prepare audit summaries and reporting for internal stakeholders and leadership
• Act as a liaison with TRA auditors, supporting audit communication and coordination
