Senior .NET Architect to assist with the modernization and automation of services and migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL in the public sector.

Our public sector client requires a Secret cleared Senior .NET Architect to assist with the modernization and automation of services and migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL in the public sector. The client has a requirement to migrate 221 Oracle databases currently on premise AIX Oracle 19c environment to a PostgreSQL on premise environment and part of the requirement will be to ensure that all applications associated with the databases are refactored, tested and redeployed.

Responsibilities:

• Develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements;
• Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution;
• Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems;
• Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions;
• Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows;
• Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document database content, structure, and application sub-systems, and develop data dictionary

Must have:

• Secret clearance
• Team Lead experience
• Database experience (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL)
• .NET experience
