Description
S.i. Systems enterprise public sector client is seeking a REMOTE within BC - Senior Project Manager to lead project planning for Certificate Authority initiatives, including enterprise public and private certificate migrations, renewalws - VRP 2627-260501TW. This role coordinates cross‑functional delivery across security, infrastructure, cloud, vendors, and third‑party partners, ensuring work is planned, tracked, and executed through established delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
You must be located in BC, and able to go to Kamloops or Vancouver office occasionally (travel expenses within BC covered)
9 month initial contract, potential for extensions
37.5 hour workweek
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- 8+ years Project Management experience, with experience on a large scale certificate authority initiative
- PMP
- Agile project experience
- Experience working on a project across security, infrastructure, cloud, vendors, and third‑party partners, ensuring work is planned, tracked, and executed through established delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
JOB DUTIES:
The PM contractor must bring strong project management experience, leadership and professionalism to enable efficient, high quality product delivery. Responsibilities include project planning, risk identification and analysis, schedule management, vendor management, budget management, and guidance, support and motivation needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
· Utilizing a project management methodology and processes for project activities and gates; creating, managing standard and storing project management artifacts as required, including project charter, budget, scope, schedule and timeline, risk register, status reports, and others, with a focus on effective delivery.
· Conducting initial project planning, soliciting estimates, requirements and user stories, incorporating change management, establishing timelines, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
· Obtaining and allocating resources: assigning tasks to delivery team(s) and others, allocating resources effectively to ensure project success.
· Ensuring compliance with information privacy and security assessments, and project governance, procedures and practices, including escalating unresolved issues.
· Monitoring project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and align with project requirements, managing testing activities as required.
· Content and business writing and maintaining accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes, for communication, future reference and auditing purposes
· Executing and supporting other project activities and tasks for one or more projects as reasonably required by the BCLC Project Manager.
