REMOTE - Senior .NET Systems Analyst to support and modernize legacy corporate applications and build integrations

S.i. Systems public client based in Prince George is seeking a REMOTE - Senior .NET Systems Analyst to support legacy corporate applications and build integrations.

Preference is for a candidate willing to relocate to Prince George (relocation incentives available)

Option for person to be based elsewhere in Canada, working remotely on PST hours

Salary range is $63,000 - $82,000 / annum

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• 3+ years experience supporting corporate applications
• Strong .NET and SQL troubleshooting and development experience (any versions of .NET)
• Experience building integrations (currently using SSIS but would love to modernize this)

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience implementing power platform / power automate to reduce manual labour required in corporate applications

JOB DUTIES:

Under the supervision of the Regional Manager of Corporate Application Services including Cloud Business Solutions and Workforce Automation, this position is responsible for the implementation of and support for software lifecycle management of commercial off the shelf (COTS) corporate solutions, custom corporate applications, and other software. This includes leading ITS teams and providing leadership with the integration and implementation of existing and new software, using a variety of project management tools, applications and processes. In addition, this position will provide second tier support, including working with clients, team members, other groups in Information Technology Services (ITS), and vendors to bring incidents, service requests, problem requests, and change requests to a successful resolution.

Support legacy applications including:

• Finance
• HR
• Facilities
• Logistics
• Anything non-patient facing
• There are approx. 70 custom built applications built on .NET 2.0 - these need to be modernized

1. Manages software throughout the entire software lifecycle.

2. Conducts feasibility studies for computerization by determining user department requirements, examining and identifying problems with existing systems and recommending modifications to and/or new systems; provides details of estimated implementation costs including associated staffing requirements.

3. For new corporate applications or upgrades to existing applications identifies client and team resources, software and hardware requirements, confidentiality and security requirements, plans project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, coordinates multiple parties, deploys database/application/web tiers, defines technical / user acceptance testing, identifies testing success parameters, and handles communications using project management tools, applications and processes.

4. Creates interfaces between existing in-house applications, as well as partner applications, using a variety of techniques such as scripts, ETL tools, and SQL.

5. Provides 2nd tier support to users of the new computer applications.

6. Assists user departments in the understanding of the applications.

7. Installs and tests upgrades and patches to the software

8. Communicates with the vendor and resolves problems in a timely manner.

9. Provide troubleshooting advice and works with team members to provide trouble shooting documentation for front line client services support on all matters pertaining to corporate applications.

10. Use cloud development tools and technologies to build, test, and deploy cloud applications based on project requirements.

11. Integrate cloud-based applications with other systems, both cloud and on-premises.

12. Identify, troubleshoot, and debug functional and performance issues.

13. Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows and applications using low-code or rapid application development tools.
