S.i. Systems midsize government based in Prince George is hiring a REMOTE BC-Based Senior Test Lead to organize test team, create user stories, design test cases, oversee test execution for scheduling software implementation and digital transformations
Permanent role with BC Government client - you must be based in British Columbia
Location: Work From Home (WFH) - must provide own equipment
MST hours, 37.5 hours / week
Salary range: $100K-$106K
Reporting to: Regional Director Corporate Systems
NOTE: this is a "casual" role - you will be paid on an hourly basis, full time hours up to 37.5 hours / week plus a bonus to account for no paid vacation and no health benefits. Strong likelihood of converting to an FTE role with full benefits.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
· 5+ years of experience as a QA Lead working within both automation, integration and manual testing, including planning and hands-on testing.
· Proven experience acting as a Test Lead for a WFM / Scheduling / HCM / Payroll implementation project.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
· Workday / Kronos / UKG experience.
· Financial/industry experience, particularly in payment streams such as particularly in payment streams such as billing/settlement/reporting.
· Understanding of database storage and partitioning concepts.
· Ability to analyze and report on complex performance data to build conclusions.
· Mainframe migration experience.
· Several years of demonstrable use of one or more of the following tools: Load Runner, JMeter, Rational Performance Tester (or another equivalent tool).
Role and Responsibilities:
· Lead QA activities, including understanding and managing the QA lifecycle.
· Demonstrate technical expertise in testing, focusing on performance, load, scalability/capacity, networks, and infrastructure.
· Coordinate testing resources to execute the testing plan.
· Work with Technical Architects to define non-functional requirements.
· Define the non-functional test framework, methods, and tools to uncover performance issues.
· Plan, design, manage, execute, and report tests using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
· Examine and evaluate performance criteria and standards compliance to ensure new and amended systems, together with any interfaces, perform as specified.
· Plan and develop the test design during test specification development, focusing on non-functional requirements for testability against technical acceptance criteria and quality metrics.
· Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing performance tools, analyzing results, and resolving performance-related issues, including optimization and tuning.
· Write and test use cases, and support business SMEs in their testing.
· Facilitate UAT testing to completion.
