Title: Program Manager IV (Portfolio Execution & Integration)

Location: Calgary or Edmonton

Duration: 1 year

Work Model: Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Thurs in office / Weds, Fri from home)

Travel: Occasional site travel. Must be eligible to travel to USA.

The Program Manager IV - Portfolio Execution & Integration is responsible for ensuring the successful, coordinated execution of a large, complex portfolio of projects across the LP Mainline Program. This role bridges the gap between project-level schedules and portfolio-level reporting by actively identifying, managing, and resolving interdependencies across projects, contractors, procurement activities, and outage windows.

Unlike traditional scheduling roles, this position is highly proactive and outward facing. It requires strong leadership, confidence, and the ability to influence across teams without direct authority. The Program Manager IV ensures that execution plans are realistic, aligned, and achievable, enabling the organization to move from reporting performance to actively controlling outcomes.

This role reports to the Project Controls Supervisor and works closely with Project Managers, Project Schedulers, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, and contractor partners.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Execution & Integration

• Own the integrated execution view across several hundred active projects, identifying interdependencies related to contractors, outages, materials, and sequencing

• Develop and maintain a program-level execution framework that complements project schedules and portfolio reporting

• Translate project-level milestone schedules into a consolidated, constraint-driven execution plan

• Identify and assess impacts of delays, slippage, and sequencing conflicts across projects and communicate downstream risks

• Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve conflicts related to contractor capacity, outage timing, and competing priorities

• Challenge assumptions and escalate risks where execution plans are not aligned or achievable

• Provide clear, concise updates to Execution on program status, risks, opportunities, impacts, and required decisions

Must Haves:

• 10+ years of experience in project execution, project controls, scheduling, or program management within energy, infrastructure, or industrial environments

• Strong understanding of project lifecycle including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning

• Experience working with large portfolios of projects with multiple stakeholders and contractors

• Proven ability to identify and manage cross-project dependencies and execution risks

• Experience with Primavera P6, Power BI, and project controls systems (e.g., EcoSys, Oracle) is considered an asset

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
