Our client is seeking a Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level business intelligence solutions - 01130

Initial contract goes till end of Dec 2026. 37.5 hours/week.

Location: Burnaby/hybrid (Preference is given to local candidates - remote (PST hours) can be submitted if they meet all the requirements)

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, and working with large-scale datasets to deliver insightful dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making.

Must haves:

• SQL experience
• strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX
• experience working with large-scale datasets to deliver insightful dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken

Nice to haves:

• Utility experience
• MS Fabric experience
• Stakeholder management

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
• Translate business requirements into effective analytical solutions
• Create and maintain robust semantic models using DAX and Power Query (M)
• Optimize report performance through data model tuning and query optimization
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage Power BI permissions
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance standards
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
• Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and processes
• Support Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines, and workspaces
