Part-Time BI Analyst (Power BI, SAP Datasphere, and the Microsoft Power Platform) - 01098

Our client is seeking a Part-Time BI Analyst to modernize safety data models and reporting platforms using Power BI, SAP Datasphere, and the Microsoft Power Platform - 01098

This role focuses on advancing safety data systems and reporting solutions through modern technologies. The contractor will collaborate with IT and internal stakeholders to design and validate data models and develop integrated Microsoft-based tools. The position provides direct visibility into critical safety analytics modernization initiatives.

4 hours/day in PST time zone part-time contract for 12-months.

Must Haves

• Strong proficiency in SAP Datasphere and data modeling, including star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling
• Experience with Power BI covering data relationships, report/dashboard development, and performance optimization
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
• Experience acting as a liaison between business teams and IT stakeholders
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics

Nice to Have

• Experience modernizing legacy safety data applications
• Exposure to Tableau report migration
• Understanding of AI-enabled applications for safety or automation
• Familiarity with data governance and usability best practices

Responsibilities

• Safety Data Model Collaboration
• Serve as the primary business point of contact working with IT to develop and evolve the Safety data model in SAP Datasphere
• Provide requirements, validation, and design input; IT will be responsible for building the data model
• Reporting & Analytics
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards to replace existing Tableau reports
• Ensure reports align with business requirements, data governance standards, and usability expectations
• Safety Data Collection Solutions
• Design and develop safety data collection tools using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint
• Support integration of these tools with downstream reporting and analytics solutions
• Modernization of Legacy Tools
• Assess and modernize existing complex safety data collection tools
• Lead the replacement of legacy solutions with streamlined, scalable Power Apps-based solutions

• Explore and evaluate potential AI-enabled applications to improve efficiency, automation, and insights across safety-related processes
