Description
Our utilities client is seeking a Metering Network Analyst to support metering, mesh and field device network systems (5 days/week onsite in Surrey) - 22070
12-months contract to start. Location: Surrey Service Center, 5 days/week in the office. 37.5 hours/week.
Requires vendor training in device upgrades and new devices as well as operating system upgrades and their impact on core routers and back-end network functions.
Must haves:
- 5 years of work experience as an analyst in information technology infrastructure in the areas of data center and/or end-point device management or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Certification equivalent to the Cisco Certified Network Associate designation (CCNA)
- Must be able to lift 10 - 15 pounds of equipment.
Nice to haves:
• Experience in network operations with demonstrated experience in metering, mesh and field device network systems, processes, routines and procedures
• Ability to use a variety of applications including SAP, OpenWay Reporting System (ORS), OpenWay Collection Engine (CE), Field Network Director (FND).
• Ability to operate ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or SalesForce.
• Ability to prepare data files in specified formats to fulfill ad hoc requests for meter data.
• Ability to utilize spread sheet applications such as Excel to an advanced level.
• Ability to utilize common desktop applications such as word processing, internet browser and email software.
• Knowledge of escalation protocols in order to respond to trouble tickets from a wide variety of internal and external network users.
• Ability to follow-up and resolve complex issues with many variables and complex interrelationships.
• Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Well-developed teamwork skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Class 5 drivers license/vehicle
