Description
Our client is looking for a Lead Network Engineer to develop network technology solutions of Cisco network design and implementation for external clients.
Initially 6-month contract with chances to be converted to FTE. Onsite in Edmonton.
Must have:
- 5+ years of experience in an IT environment with network architecture design and deployment
- Able to be onsite in Edmonton, AB
- Experience with networking and security
- Understanding of:
- Firewalls, IPS/IDS
- TCP/IP, IPSEC Site to Site VPN, GRE, DMVPN, Client VPN, NAT, VRF technologies
- Data Center technologies such as VPC, VDC, FcoE, FC, virtual switching
- Cisco IOS and NXOS
- Cisco Meraki
- Layer 2 Technologies such as switching, VLAN, spanning tree
- Layer 3 Routing protocols: MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
- Software-defined Networking (SDN)
- Wireless design and configuration
- Network monitoring solutions
