Junior to Intermediate Project Manager to lead phases of an ongoing implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Our large enterprise client, headquartered in Winnipeg, is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Project Manager to lead phases of an ongoing implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated project manager to gain large-scale project delivery experience while being supported by a Senior Project/Program Manager overseeing the broader program portfolio.

Location: Winnipeg, MB (Full-time, onsite)

Contract Duration: 6 months, with a strong potential for extension

Project Overview: The successful candidate will manage specific phases and components of a multi-site WMS implementation, spanning remote locations across Canada and the United States. You’ll coordinate deliverables, ensure timelines are met, and manage vendor and stakeholder relationships to drive project success. This will also include managing SIT, UAT, and go-live expectations with the selected vendor.

Must-Haves:

• 2+ years of project management experience
• Experience leading the delivery and project scope for at least one recent IT project
• Recent experience managing third-party vendors, system integrators, or similar towards project delivery
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with warehouse management systems or ERP implementations
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodology and delivery

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead assigned project phases and deliverables within the larger WMS implementation initiative.
• Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate closely with system integrators, third-party vendors, and internal technical teams.
• Report progress to the Senior Project/Program Manager and contribute to the overall program’s success.
