Description
Our valued non-profit client is seeking a Junior HR Systems Analyst to support the implementation of critical system enhancements for Workday!
An initial 4-6 month contract with possibility to convert to a full time opportunity. Hybrid work model in Ottawa, ON. 3 days per week on site.
Expected Hourly Pay Range: $28.00/hr - $40.00/hr
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to timely delivery of HR system changes through testing, documentation, configuration support, and other administrative tasks. This role enables the HR Systems team to maintain momentum with an increasing volume
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operational support for Workday HR, Talent, and Learning modules
- Conduct testing for regular Workday upgrades, document results, and escalate issues appropriately
- Execute approved pipeline work in collaboration with the HR Systems team, ensuring changes are tested, documented, and implemented accurately
- Develop and maintain system documentation including job aids, SOPs, and user support materials
- Assist with reporting tasks, data extracts, and report scheduling within Workday
- Support administrative functions such as setting up Learning campaigns
- Maintain compliance with system governance, security, and data privacy standards
Must-have skills
- 1+ year of experience in a HR systems role, providing operational support for HRIS platforms such as Workday or SAP
- Practical knowledge of HR systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS) and HR Operational processes, particularly in talent or learning
- Hands-on experience executing system changes, testing, and user support in an HR systems environment
- Experience working with HR data (employee records, learning, talent, etc.)
- Ability to follow structured processes, document work, and manage multiple requests at once
Nice-to-have
- Strong experience supporting both Workday HR and Workday Finance
- Experience supporting Learning or Talent modules
- Exposure to enterprise HR system governance and release cycles
