Description
Our valued crown corporation client is seeking a Junior Bilingual Service Desk Analyst to support a Windows 11 evergreening initiative
Initial 2 year contract in Ottawa, ON. 7.5 hours/day, Monday to Friday. Fully on-site in downtown Ottawa.
As the successful candidate you will support the evergreening of old laptops and peripheral equipment, deploying out new Windows 11 laptops utilizing Windows Autopilot
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deploy Windows 11 laptops using Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) standards, including Autopilot enrollment and configuration profiles
- Unbox, assemble, and set up laptops, docks, and peripherals at user workstations or staging areas
- Safely back up and transfer user data, profiles, and settings from legacy devices to new laptops using approved tools and processes
- Record and update asset information in inventory systems, including device assignment, status, and lifecycle tracking
- Provide onsite or remote support during deployment, including user orientation, login assistance, and basic troubleshooting
- Retire legacy devices by performing secure data wipes, updating asset records, and preparing hardware for disposal or redeployment
- Verify devices meet security, patching, and compliance requirements (e.g., encryption, policies, updates) before and after deployment.
Must-Have Skills
- Relevant experience working in an IT service desk or operational environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both English & French
