S.i. Systems healthcare client is looking for an IT Firewall Administrator to analyze & troubleshoot existing firewall and IDS/IPS rules to address operational issues- SOW20250127AD

Contract until March 20th, 2026. Mostly remote, BC candidates- one day a week onsite in Burnaby.

Must Haves:

• 4 years of recent experience implementing / supporting firewall rules, active directory, and DNS in a large, complex corporate environment with multiple data centers
• Strong understanding of logical network and firewalling principles
• Strong operational knowledge of Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, F5 LTM, and Microsoft ISA/TM
• Education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a Computer Science program, plus related certifications

Nice to haves:

• CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred

Scope:

• Implement / change firewall, proxy IDS/IPS rules
• Work with customers / vendors to troubleshoot project related firewall, proxy and IDS/IPS issues
• Update project / operational documentation and progress production change requests as required for firewall and zoning related activities
